Windows 7 Wireless Setup

Configuring Windows 7 for WSU Wireless

  1. Left click on the wireless icon in the taskbar.
  2. A list of available wireless networks will appear. Click on "WSU Wireless" followed by the "Connect" button.

  3. NOTE: If "WSU Wireless" is not an option, click the refresh arrows. If "WSU Wireless" is still unavailable you may be out of range of the network or your wireless card drivers may need updating.
  4. A window will appear that says "Connecting to WSU Wireless…".

  5. When the "Network Authentication" window comes up, enter your NID or FID username and password in the appropriate boxes. Click "OK" to continue.

  6. You may receive a "Windows Security Alert" similar to the one below.
  7. If this comes up, click on arrow to the left of "Details". The following information should show:
  8. If is listed as the Radius Server, click "Connect." If it does not, contact the IS CougTech for further assistance (contact information below).
  9. It may take a minute to finish the connection process. You are now connected to WSU Wireless.
