Requesting a Mailman List

Mailman mailing lists must be requested by filling out the Request a Mailman List form. When a list request is sent in, please wait 1-2 business days for it to be created. Once the list is created, you will receive an email confirmation. At that point you can configure your list (for explanations on settings, please see Maintaining a Mailman List).

Lists may only be requested by staff and faculty members at WSU. Student group or organization lists must be sponsored by a staff or faculty member. .

Your Name
Please use your full name on this form.
Your Phone
A work phone is ideal, but any phone that can be contacted in case of a list creation problem.
Your WSU Network ID (NID)
Please use an active Network ID to request the list.
Your Email Address
You must use a valid WSU address when you request a list.
Your Group Affiliation or Department
College, Department or group is fine.
Requested List Name
Make sure you have a simple list name, as you will be typing it often. Allowed name characters include A-Z, 0-9, dashes, underscores. Please do not use spaces.
Quarantine User Postings
Should new members be quarantined before they are allowed to post unmoderated to this list? Answer Yes to hold new member postings for moderator approval.
